At OrthoLoneStar (OLS), we provide patients with comprehensive Orthopedic healthcare which includes multiple ancillary service lines. These ancillary services allow patients to stay within our practices through diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery. Ancillary services benefit patients while in the clinic, as well as in their own homes.
Corporate ancillary services
In the fall of 2023, OLS was excited to launch two innovative service lines: Opt Ortho and Quick Ortho.
Opt Ortho is an online resource that allows patients to buy needed Orthopedic-related products, supplies and devices. These products are vetted and specifically recommended by OLS providers. This gives patients the confidence in knowing that all products have been personally selected by our medical team. This easy to navigate website features products categorized by body part, recovery, brand, sports / activities, and health and wellness.
Quick Ortho is a digital triage platform that gives Texas employers and their employees quick and easy access to Orthopedic healthcare professionals for musculoskeletal concerns. The platform is targeted to large-scale Texas employers as an added benefit to their workforce. However, any size Texas employer is eligible to participate. Contact us if you’re interested in leveraging the benefits of Quick Ortho for your employees.
Divisional ancillary services
OrthoLoneStar physicians and leadership recognize the value of offering essential and convenient ancillary services to benefit our patients’ overall health. Our OLS divisions offer a wide range of ancillary services to meet the needs of their patients including:
- In-office imaging including x-rays and MRIs
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Pain management
- Electromyography /Nerve conduction studies
In addition, several of our divisions have Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) and Hospitals connected to their practices. These relationships offer convenience to patients who are interested in scheduling their surgery at an onsite facility with their OLS provider.
Lastly, the Fondren Orthopedic Group in Houston established the Fondren Orthopedic Research Institute, a nationally recognized institution dedicated to Orthopedic and musculoskeletal research. Their research team collaborates with industry partners, healthcare organizations and academia to advance data collection and analysis. Furthermore, they help train students – from high school to clinical fellows – to expand their knowledge and proficiency in the Orthopedic space.
